We offer daily shark diving on the reefs of Ponta do Ouro, Ponta Malongane & Ponta Mamoli in Mozambique.
The reefs are home to a huge variety of marine animals including Sharks, Dolphin, Turtles, Rays, Eels, Game Fish, many species of reef fish & more!
Water temperature ranges between 26C and 28C during our summer [September to May] and to 22C and 25C in our winter [June to August].

Shark Diving
We offer daily shark diving on reefs of Ponta Do Ouro, Ponta Malongane & Ponta Mamoli in Mozambique.
September to April is our main season for shark diving in Mozambique which are found mainly on the deeper reefs of Pinnacles and Atlantis.
The shark diving in Mozambique offers a huge variety of shark species and in total we have seen 16-species of shark in Mozambique including the main sightings of Tiger Sharks, Bull Sharks, Hammerhead Sharks, Silvertip Sharks, Blacktip Sharks, Grey Reef Sharks, Leopard Sharks, Whitetip Reef Sharks and Whale Sharks.
We have also seen other species of shark from time to time including Great White Sharks, Java Sharks, Spinner Sharks, Dusky Sharks, Nurse Sharks, Guitar Sharks and this year for the first time we even had a Ragged Tooth Shark which we normally see in South Africa.
The shark diving is mainly on our deeper dive sites. During your stay you will observe the sharks, learn how to identify the different species, understand the sharks behaviour and how sharks interpret your behaviour.
We have a huge number of reefs between Ponta Do Ouro, Ponta Malongane & Ponta Mamoli which range in depth from 10-meters to 30-meters.
The reefs are home to a huge variety of marine life including Sharks, Dolphin, Turtles, Rays, Eels, Game Fish, Reef fish & more.
The area attacts a large number of pelagic fish which spend time on many of the reefs during the year.
Reef diving takes place all year and we have loads of very special unique species [e.g. Frog Fish].
Between July and November the annual Humpback Whale migration also passes Ponta Do Ouro offering some awesome whale watching and we do sometime have the Humpback Whales approch us whilst we are scuba diving.

Humpback Whales
Between July and November the annual Humpback Whale migration passes reefs of Ponta Do Ouro, Ponta Malongane & Ponta Mamoli in Mozambique
We see the Humpback Whale daily from the boats and also from the dive resort.
Sometimes we are lucky enough to have the Humpback Whales approch us whilst we are scuba diving.
Typical day scuba diving in Mozambique
Kit-up and dive briefing.
Our dive centre is on-site at Scubaaddicts Dive Resort.
Once breakfast is finished, we move down to the kit-up area to get ready for the days scuba diving. Our scuba dive team are there to help you with your gear, load the boat and to brief you on the boat launching and days scuba diving.
Scuba Diving.
Jump on the vehicles and we are off to the launch site, where you will experience an exciting surf launch on our 8m RIB. The scuba diving is planned around the best sites for the conditions each day, get up close with the different types of sharks as well as the rest of the marine-life found on the reefs of Ponta Do Ouro, Mozambique.
Our scuba dives are for advanced divers only and the depth varies from around 15 to 35 metres depending on the dive sites. The reefs have a huge variety of marine-life including many species of shark, whales, dolphin, manta rays, eagle rays, turtles, eels and much more that make reefs of Ponta Do Ouro, Mozambique their homes. We generally do two scuba dives a day and we can do more if the conditions allow.
After the scuba diving.
After the scuba diving we head on back to the dive centre where there are hot showers, rinse tanks for the gear and lock-up drying rooms where you can store your gear ready for the next day. Enjoy lunch at the lodge and then you can choose to relax by the pool, chat to the dive guides to learn more about what you've seen on the scuba dive, download photos & video footage or even enjoy a massage! We can also arrange an excursion to one of the local attractions.
The evening.
In the evening enjoy dinner at the lodge or a local restaurant. If you are not completely tired by your days scuba diving and sightseeing, then you can enjoy a drink on the deck over-looking the ocean before you retire to your bedroom with en-suite facilities to enjoy a relaxing nights sleep, ready for the next days scuba diving.
